Kazoo is an upcycled snack chip with a great story to tell. Rather than focusing on how the brand prevents waste by using the wasted ingredients, they focused it on taste then positioned the brand to attract Western United States’ citizens.
The packaging uses vibrant colors and triangle patterns to draw in the eye. Images of the product adorn the package design to show the consumer what’s inside. This is especially effective when talking about a semi-unknown product.
Upsides to an upcycled are by no means buried either. However, the team has found clever word play to instill intrigue and curiosity then drives home the details on the website for the brand. It’s an effective way to engage and draw people into the deeper story.
