Rare is the case where a restaurant brand really jumps out at me when I’m scouring the world for delicious design. However, Pop & Pac’s work for Huxtaburger did just that mainly because it was so unexpected.
The color bars and artful style of the identity is a stark contrast from the majority of identities out there. It’s refreshing and one can only presume it’s representative of the food itself. Careful, expressive and interesting.
The typography for Huxtaburger is a condensed sans-serif typeface with a heavy industrial feel. This is a wonderful juxtaposition to the artful brush stroke color areas of the design style. The dichotomy is quite wonderful and memorable.
There exists only one downfall with this project, I want to see so much more! How does it play out inside the four walls? How does it look in advertising? Maybe uniforms, too. The style is just too good to not want more. Hopefully the brand team will get tapped to flesh it out more.
