03.06.24 Update: We were contacted by Mariusz Ruciński from Third What who created the Brand Concept, Brand Naming, Verbal Identity & Copywriting for this project. We have added him to the credits.
The vodka craze has sort of come and gone, but that doesn’t stop new brands from popping up. Most fly by without warranting much of a look, but this one is different.
Tvigwychsin is a new vodka brand born right after the Pandemic. Rather than focusing on a family history or authenticity, the creative team at Redkroft took a different approach. They leaned into creativity and something different. Tvigwychsin is an anagram of the phrase “The vodka is good when you can hardly say it’s name.” And, well, it totally works.
Where the name is complicated, the brand identity is not. Leading with a minimalist design aesthetic with a mix of old and new typography, the vodka brand is something completely fresh in the category. However, the typography feels vintage advertising where magazine ads melded the two type styles.
Long form text tells the story of the brand which is funny and tongue in cheek while being refreshingly honest.
