In branding and creative brief development workshops and endeavors, one of the most difficult aspects is coming up with personality traits that well-define the brand and/or product. You must rely on your own lexicon and the lexicon of those in the room which can oftentimes be limited by a mix of exhaustion, anxiety, and general size. In short, many folks simply don’t have a broad enough set of adjectives or have a hard time accessing them on the spot. This card deck is the ultimate solution to that problem!
This deck of cards features 47 opposing adjectives with short, custom-written descriptions to help guide the process of identifying a brand’s personality. Each card features two adjectives with definitions. The adjectives are in opposition to one another creating a scenario that helps sift through the options of how a brand’s personality can manifest. In a workshop environment, these cards are laid out across a surface in a grid with the three categorization cards, Core, Both, and Neither, at the top of the grid. The client team is then instructed to sort the cards into categories by reading both sides and having deep discussions.
The result of using these cards for Personality Trait development in the branding process is a more streamlined approach with greater opportunities for crafting a unique, ownable brand attitude.
